Unabomber, um parresiasta no Império

Resumo

Este artigo analisa a existência de Theodore Kaczynski, o Unabomber, célebre terrorista norte-americano da década de 1990 e autoproclamado anarquista, a partir de seu libelo revolucionário A Sociedade Industrial e seu Futuro. Situa-se os pontos de intersecção com o anarquismo – a repetição do experimento primitivista de Henry David Thoreau  – e distanciamento – a teoria da vanguarda revolucionária – , bem como o cruzamento atemporal com os cínicos, no exercício do “discurso parresiástico.

ABSTRACT:
This article analyses the life of Theodore Kaczynski, alias the Unabomber, a very known American terrorist from the 1990`s – and self-proclaimed anarchist – through the reading of his libel The Industrial Society and its Future. The article highlights the points of intersection with anarchism  (the emulation of Henry David Thoreau`s primitiviste experience) and the points of detachment from anarchism (the theory of revolutionary vanguard), as well the timeless intersection with the cynics into the practice of the “parrhesiastic discourse”.
