Uma avaliação da literacia estatística e probabilística no ensino médio <br> An evaluation of statistics and probabilistic literacy in the high school

Resumo

Este artigo teve como objetivo investigar a Literacia Estatística e Probabilística de alunos ingressantes e concluintes do Ensino Médio. A investigação foi realizada em duas escolas públicas de um município da região metropolitana de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, e envolveu um total de 444 alunos com idades variando entre 14 e 18 anos. A metodologia utilizada foi a de métodos mistos com base em (CRESWELL, 2010). O instrumento de coleta de dados foi um questionário envolvendo 30 questões parte abertas e parte fechadas. Os resultados indicaram que os alunos tanto ingressantes quanto concluintes possuem habilidades limitadas na escrita, na leitura, no cálculo e na interpretação de dados estatísticos e probabilísticos contidos em gráficos e tabelas.


This study aimed to investigate the Literacy Statistics and Probability of students entering and graduating from high school. The research was conducted in two public schools of the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul and involved a total of 444 students aged between 14 and 18 years. The methodology used was a mixed method based on (CRESWELL, 2010). The data collection instrument was a questionnaire involving 30 questions part open and part closed. The results indicated that students entering both as graduates have limited skills in writing, reading, calculation and interpretation of statistical and probabilistic data contained in graphs and tables.
