por Audra Corbitt (2019-12-18)

I've found everything from arrest records to dudes who were clearly still married, and I'm glad I figured that out before investing much more than a few lines of banter.  It's worth doing a simple Google search, checking local media websites and even scanning a prospective date's social media for any red flags.

If you want to start your year off with laughter, you can binge one of the various comedies that drop Jan. If you're looking for something with a little more action, Netflix is getting Kill Bill: Vol. Or, for a more haunting stylistic choice, I would recommend watching Pan's Labyrinth (though I'd make sure the little ones are already fast asleep).

This January, I'm most excited about the return of Sex Education, which lands Jan. It was one of my favorite shows of 2019 and one of the few shows about high schoolers where the teenagers actually act and speak like teens.

That means continually investing in new features and policies to protect our riders and drivers. We recognize these risks, which is why we are relentless in our work to build safety into every aspect of our work. "What these women describe is something no one should ever have to endure. Everyone deserves the ability to move about the world safely, yet women still face disproportionate risks.

The complaint also accuses Lyft of hiding the extent of sexual assault issues, promoting a culture that silences victims and hindering police efforts to investigate cases. It doesn't tell women how Lyft investigates incidents, whether or not there were prior reports or even whether or not the company has kicked an offending driver from the platform.

The women further blasted Lyft's recent switch to a standardized response to misconduct claims, claiming that it would lead to a "black and white" decision-making process that reduces the ability for humans to recognize and address patterns of behavior. The approach could let predators stay on Lyft "until a more serious incident," according to the lawsuit.

First, you'll need an Android phone with Google's Messages app installed and set as the default text messaging app. Just follow the prompts and don't worry, you won't lose your conversation history by switching.  The first time you launch Messages, it will ask if you want to set it as your default app.

In just the last few months, we've launched more than 15 new safety features -- including daily continuous criminal background monitoring of all of our drivers, in-app emergency assistance to make reporting easier for riders, and mandatory feedback for rides rated less than four stars to ensure we are constantly tracking any level of problematic behavior by drivers. "This year, nearly one in five employees at Lyft have been dedicated to initiatives that strengthen the platform's safety. Our work on safety is never done, and we will continue to invest in new features, protocols, and policies to ensure Lyft is the safest form of transportation for our riders and drivers." We've also partnered with RAINN, the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization, to roll out required sexual violence prevention education.

Plus, the idea is to establish a baseline comfort that the person you're talking to isn't a danger, not to dig up conversational ammo so you can pretend to like the same bands.  I've talked with folks who feel Googling a person before going out with them is unfair and  deprives someone the opportunity to tell their own story. There's some merit to that argument, but I would counter that safety trumps all else.

The firm's response to these problems over the past four years has been "appallingly inadequate," according to the lawsuit. -text c-gray-1" >More women have accused Lyft of failing to protect them against sexual assault. A group of twenty women has sued Lyft over claims they were sexually assaulted or raped when the ridesharing company let "known sexual predators" offer service.
