Abstract

This review aims to present the book Juntando Cacos, Resgatando Vidas [...], by Valdeci Antônio Ferreira. The book is both an explanation of the APAC (Association for the Protection and Assistance of the Condemned) method and the presentation of the humanizing proposal for the fulfillment of the criminal penalty carried out by the method. An entire part of the book is dedicated to the so-called lectures of human valorization, which seek to offer an opportunity for examination of conscience to prisoners.

Doctoral student in Law at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). Master in Law from the Eurípides de Marília University Center - UNIVEM (2021). Bachelor of Law from the State University of Northern Paraná (2017). Research topics: Philosophy of Law; Philosophy of Natural Law; APAC method; Ethic; Christian Humanism; Law and Literature; Law and Fraternity; Dignity of human person.
