Abstract

The following text is not just a posthumous tribute; It is, for the author, an act of profound memory and justice. My connection with the mathematical genius Ladislao Rodríguez Benavente is intertwined with the most beloved threads of my childhood and adolescence. The author had the privilege of knowing him personally, thanks to the friendship between my parents and him; Just like my brothers, we affectionately called him "Uncle Lalo".
