Reflections on International Law and the UN Security Council

This article examines the contemporary challenges faced by International Law and the UN Security Council in a global context of armed conflicts, climate change, and human rights violations. It analyzes the historical evolution of International Law, the role of the UN in promoting world peace, and the structural limitations of the current system.
Finally, it explores the possibility of reforms in the Security Council, such as the expansion of permanent members, as essential instruments to improve the effectiveness and enforcement of International Law in the current global scenario.
