Advancements, challenges and perspectives of ICC - International Criminal Court

This article explores the historical and legal context of the creation of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in 2002, analyzing the advancements promoted by its action. Through the study of some cases, challenges and constraining of its performance will be identified the strategies to consolidate its credibility before the international community. Considering the global dynamic of transnational crimes, it is necessary to assess the role of this Court and the perspectives of its legal and institutional strengthening regarding the protection of human rights and the effectiveness of its jurisdiction in the international sphere.
