Digital grip recovery by transferring the second toe

The authors present the case of an eleven-year old patient, victim of an accidental amputation of four of his fingers, except for the thumb. A satsfactory result in the physiological function recovery was obtained through microsurgery techniques, by transferring the second toe to the hand and applying a cutaneous graft from the dorsum of the foot to cover the back of the affected hand.
