Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic progressive disease characterized by symmetric poliarticular synovitis and joint destruction. It is the most common inflammatory arthritis. Synovitis is usually located in dorsal aspect of the wrist. There is a synovial expansion and erosion, soft tissues and ligamentous laxity, and cartilage and bone degradation, which produce pain, deformity, and functional impairment. Despite medical management, many patients have progressive disease. Surgical intervention can improve hand and wrist function for many patients. The aim of this study is to report a clinical case of dorsal synovitis of the wrist, associated with dorsal dislocation of the ulnar head causing extensor pollicis longus, fourth and fifth extensor tendons rupture.Downloads
