Abstract

ABSTRACT The lesions of finger extremities pose a problem to all emergency services due to their frequency. Although being regarded as minor surgeries and therefore not being prioritized, medical intervention is of great importance. Inadequate treatment leads to poor healing, neuroma development of the fingertips, painful scaring as well as deformities of the nails and the distal phalanx, thus hindering the return of the wounded to work.
