An electrician allegedly cut off a man's testicle in a backpacker's hostel to satisfy a bizarre fetish after researching online how to perform the operation.

Ryan King, 27, is accused of arranging online to meet the man at a hostel in Brisbane's inner-city on Saturday.

Police allege the other man, 26, travelled to Brisbane from Sydney to have King satisfy his castration fetish by removing his testicle.

King allegedly removed the testicle having studied on the internet how to carry out the procedure

King allegedly studied the surgery on the internet - despite not having medical qualifications - and brought with him medical equipment and anesthetic before removing one of the man's testicles at his request.

It is alleged the wound could not be stitched up sufficiently to stop it from bleeding, reported.

An ambulance is understood to then have been called and the 26-year-old man was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for surgery - where he is in a stable condition. RELATED ARTICLES
