Abstract

A presente pesquisa investigou como o contexto familiar influencia no processo de planejamento de carreira de jovens estudantes. A pesquisa teve cunho qualitativo com caráter descritivo e exploratório. Desse modo, foram entrevistados oito estudantes universitários com idade entre quinze e vinte e nove anos e que residem com os pais, escolhidos por meio da rede de contatos da pesquisadora e mediante o método de conveniência. A análise dos dados foi realizada de forma qualitativa e com base na análise de conteúdo. Constatou-se que os estímulos que os familiares proporcionam influenciam nas escolhas de carreira do indivíduo. O apoio familiar, o fornecimento de informações e as possibilidades de desenvolvimento pessoal são fatores importantes para o processo de planejamento de carreira de acordo com os sujeitos de pesquisa.
