suplantou todas as noções vizinhas: indivíduo, pessoa, etc.
No presente artigo, nós

Abstract: In the psychoanalytical theory and clinic, since Lacan, the
concept of subject, which was imported from the field of philosophy,
remarkably the Cartesian one, has supplanted all the neighboring
notions: individual, person, etc. At the same time, it was determined and
defined based on the structure of language and on the trans-historical
operations that it imposes: repression, foreclosure, refusal, alienation,
separation. In the present paper, we focused on recovering another
perspective, that of historical subjectivity, sustained by the categories of
discourse and knowledge, which indicates that the articulation between
the subject and the social bond requires that subjectivity figures – distinct
from the subject’s structure – are put to function. These subjectivity
figures are related to the types of knowledge that are historically and
culturally determined.
Keywords: psychoanalysis; subjectivity; subject; individual;
individualism; contemporariness; history.
