A CIDADE EM JOGO: PRÁTICAS TORCEDORAS, UTOPIAS DISCIPLINARES E TRANSFORMAÇÃO URBANA EM SÃO PAULO (1900-1930)

Abstract

This paper intends to establish relationships between the soccer environment formation in São Paulo and the urban transformations that took place in the city at the beginning of the 20th century. We will be considering the construction of playing fields as a product of disputes in which the supporters’ unprecedented practices were inscribed as active agents.
