Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the Arabic immigration to Sao Paulo, using the Oral History methodology, with the two religious groups (Muslims and Christians) that have had an urban concentration in the city and an economic integration through the activity of peddlers to proprietors.

Samira Adel Osman

Samira Adel Osman é doutora e mestre em História Social pela USP, e trabalha com a imigração e o retorno da comunidade árabe. É pesquisadora do NEHO-USP sobre a temática da imigração, história oral de vida, história oral de família, e docente do Centro Universitário Senac.
