Testamento de Jó

O Testamento de Jó é um antigo escrito judaico ainda pouco estudado entre os eruditos na área de Religião do Mundo Antigo Greco-Romano. Certamente trata-se de uma reescrita do livro canônico de Jó, mas deve ser abordado como obra autônoma, dada a independência que seu conteúdo adquiriu de sua fonte de inspiração. Por se tratar de um texto escrito em grego no período helenístico, provavelmente na cidade de Alexandria, no Egito, traz as características dessa época e ambiente, que são a apocalíptica, a linguagem vulgar, a comicidade e o misticismo que flerta com a mágica. No presente artigo apontaremos o desenvolvimento da tradição jobiana a partir do livro canônico de Jó, o processo hermenêutico que proporcionou o surgimento do livro e a hipótese de sua existência como manifestação da religiosidade popular.
