Gesture and speech: continuity or rupture?
Keywords:
gesture, speech, aphasia, neurolinguisticAbstract
Aphasiology has usually discussed gesture and speech under a dissociated approach. In this paper, we will analyze this question from a discursive perspective. A neurolinguistic case study is carried on this paper in which linguistic and gesture data are taken from the episodes of the aphasic subject, CF, who participates of the Centro de Convivencia de Afasicos (CCA-IEL-UNICAMP). These episodes evidence a continuity between speech and gesture.Downloads
