Evaluation of satisfaction measures of monoaural and binaural amplification users
Keywords:

The objective of this study was to investigate the satisfaction measure of monoaural and binaural amplification users. Among the 39 subjects interviewed, 16 were monoaural amplification users (Group I) and 23 were binaural amplification users (Group II). The subjects are 40 to 60 years old and have neurossensorial hearing loss. The inventory of self-assessment completed by the hearing aid users was the International Outcome Inventory for Hearing Aids (IOI-HA – Portuguese version) proposed by Cox et al. (2002). The same percentage of both groups presented a higher degree of handicap, and there are not significant differences between the groups. The results agree that all the subjects reported satisfaction with the amplification.Downloads
