Relação entre elementos verbais e não verbais num caso de rescisão cirúrgica de tumor infiltrativo

This study aimed to discuss the relationship between extra verbal context and/ or extra linguistic – we will deal more specifically with gestures - and verbal language. Such option has resulted from the hypothesis that the relation between extra verbal context and verbal language would act in a singular way on the processes of meaning of subjects with language difficulties. It took part on the study a subject with language difficulties due to a brain damage caused by the surgical rescission of an infiltrative tumor. The analyzed data were taken from enunciative activities of this subject, filmed in two appointed sessions - one individual and the other in group - that took place in the “Centro de Convivência de Afásicos” (CCA) at Unicamp. The analysis of the data made it possible to notice that the gesture is a preferential place in which the subject in matter leans not only to go on with his enunciative activity, but also so that, in a speaking activity along with his partners, he may build meaning, that is, to act with the production and interpretation of senses. The analyzed data allowed us to conjecture that the link between what we might call verbal and non verbal, linguistic and extra linguistic is the production of sense.Downloads
