Analysis of knowledge production in the PEPG on Speech Pathology and Audiology: from its creation to the new millenium

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present and analyze masters dissertations produced at the PUCSP Post Graduation Studies on Phonoaudiology since 1972, when it has been created. A preliminary quantitative and qualitative analysis of all the researches has been made. As analysis samples, abstracts of each master dissertation were studied based on a traditional area classification: oral motility, voice, language and hearing, in order to perform a statistical analysis. The epistemological direction of the study was the second privileged way that, although limited, gave us a very important finding. Results allowed us to build a wider chart about the tendencies that are directing researches on Phonoaudiology for the lastthree decades.
