Pulsações de uma resistência

Resumo

Na década de 1970, a abertura da cena da dança paulistana para além dos limites do balé clássico consolidou-se com a criação do primeiro espaço voltado exclusivamente para a prática e pesquisa em dança na cidade: o Teatro de Dança Galpão. A partir desta experiência, e da invenção do espetáculo Pulsações, em seu primeiro ano de funcionamento, o artigo pretende apontar para as relações entre dança, política cultural estatal e práticas de resistência à ditadura civil-militar frequentemente negligenciadas.

ABSTRACT:

In the 1970’s, the creation of the Galpão Dancing Theatre, the first space in São Paulo dedicated to the practice and research in dance, moved the city’s dancing scene beyond the limits of the classical ballet. Taking the realization if that experience, alongside the invention of the spectacle Pulsações (Pulsations) in its first year of activities, this article seeks to analyze the relations between state cultural policy and the resistance practices to the civil-military dictatorship that has been frequently neglected in other research projects.
