Muxes: gênero e subjetivação, entre a tradição e as novidades

Resumo

Como podemos pensar em saídas para os binarismos naturalizados que dizem respeito ao gênero? Este é o ponto de partida desse artigo, o qual buscará no exemplo de um acontecimento sociocultural onde se verifica a presença de pessoas de um terceiro gênero algumas chaves para possíveis respostas. Entre a tradição e as novidades, os muxes presentes em algumas comunidades Zapotecas no México mantém e ampliam um espaço de diversidade de gênero que pode ser pensado como espaço heterotópico.

ABSTRACT:
How can we think escapes for the naturalized binarism on gender issues? This is the starting point of this article, that seeks some answers to this question based on the analysis of a social-cultural event in which it is possible to verify the existence of people from a third gender. In between tradition and novelty, the muxes, present in some Zapotecas communities in Mexico, have kept and have been developing a space of gender diversity that can be thought as an heterotopian space.
