Abstract

Resumo O presente trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar algumas maneiras de alunos da Educação Básica interpretarem a idéia de recorrência presente na segunda frase de uma questão discursiva de matemática. Analisamos um conjunto de 96 provas escritas de matemática, por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa, tomando a produção escrita dos alunos como fonte de informações. Os alunos, em grande parte, interpretaram e utilizaram a idéia de recorrência pautados na interpretação que fizeram apenas da primeira frase do enunciado, o que interferiu nas estratégias elaboradas. Abstract The present paper has for objective show some basic school students’ ways interpret the recurrence idea in the second phrase of enunciation of open-end mathematical question. We analyze 96 students’ written work with an approach research qualitative. The students, in general, interpret and use the recurrence idea with the interpretations they do at the first phrase. The interpretations of this phrase delimited and modify the strategies built and influence the students’ performance. Key words: Mathematics Education; recurrence idea; mathematical written work.
