OS TEXTOS SOBRE ENSINAR/APRENDER MATEMÁTICA NO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL DA REVISTA NOVA ESCOLA: UMA ANÁLISE RETÓRICA

Abstract

O presente trabalho relata resultados de pesquisa cujo objetivo foi identificar que visão de Educação Matemática permeia os textos referentes a essa área na revista NOVA ESCOLA, provavelmente à qual têm acesso a maioria dos professores no Brasil, e que tipo de argumentação é neles utilizada para conseguir a adesão dos professores do Ensino Fundamental a perspectiva neles habita. Na análise interpretativa desses textos utilizamos a noção bakthiana de gênero discursivo, bem como autores que focalizam a imprensa, como Zanchetta Junior (2004), o discurso jornalístico, como Ponte (2005), e a argumentação na comunicação, como Breton (2003). Abstract: This paper we present results of a research whose aim was to investigate what kind of mathematical education underlies the articles referring to Mathematics Education in Nova Escola the educational magazine which reaches most Brazilian teachers, as well as what type of arguments is used to lead the teachers to participate in such ideology. The texts were analyzed according to Bakhtin’s discursive genre, the writings of Zanchetta Junior (2004) dealing with the press, Ponte (2005) dealing with journalistic discourse, and Breton (2003) dealing with the argument in communication.
