Abstract

This essay aims to analyze the theoretical aspects present in the fiction of Mary Esther Maciel. In A ironia da ordem and A memória das coisas, the author discusses the literary possibilities that will be worked with in her books of fiction O livro dos nomes e O livro de Zenóbia. We intend, therefore, to discuss this literary genesis and this two-way street that is the theory and criticism.
