Abstract

This essay discusses some aspects of the dialogue between surrealism, Brazilian naturalism and the novel a.s.a. – associação dos solitários anônimos, written by Rosário Fusco in 1967 and published in 2003. It also shows that the book takes possession of its own literary past, something that reveals the impossible dissociation between the form and content of the novel, which is mostly marked by ambiguity.
