O MAQUINÁRIO FANTASMAGÓRICO E A CONSTRUÇÃO DO CONTO EM “O BLOQUEIO”, DE MURILO RUBIÃO

Abstract

The aim of this work is to discuss the process of building the tale in “The Blockage”, by Murilo Rubião. It deals with an absurd situation, created by the narrator and lived by his character, which oscillates between fear and fascination for a destructive machine that threatens his physical integrity and whose presence is unexplained. We will verify the existence of a second story, constructed metaphorically and that reveals the process of composition of the tale. A strange machinery exerts its power on Gerion, the protagonist, and the lector, kidnapped by the phantasmagoric power of the tale itself.
