Vidas Secas: from the novel to the film

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present some considerations about the procedure of the film adaptation, which we intend to address using the concept of frontier semiotics formulated by Yuri Lotman. To situate the study, we leave the comparative analysis between the novel and the film Vidas Secas, intertextual dialogue perspective with the intention of discussing the semiosis of narrativity as frontier semiotics element procedures literature and narrative cinema.
