One of the most reputed scholars on Clarice Lispector’s works, professor and researcher Nádia Battela Gotlib has pubished various books and articles about Lispector, among which Clarice, uma vida que se conta is to be highlighted, and which deals with that writer’s life and works, as well as Clarice Fotobiografia, a photobiography of Clarice Lispector – a visual narrative of her life and works, with 800 images, most of which having been unpublished before.
In this six-section interview, professor Batella presents a panorama of Clarice Lispector’s life and works, and highlights relevant aspects of the reception of the Claricean body of work both in Brazil and abroad. Furthermore, she addresses relevant points about the translation of Lispector’s works and adaptations to other media like the cinema and theater.
