Abstract

This study aims at reflecting on the act of reading, based on two short stories by Valter Hugo Mãe, published in the book Tales of Dogs and Bad Wolves (“The boy who lived in the books” and “Libraries”), where READING is assumed as a learning experience by the senses and feelings, and, simultaneously, a means to open one’s eyes to the creation of new worlds.

Emanuel Guerreiro, Faculdade de Ciências Humanas e Sociais da Universidade do Algarve - Portugal

Mestrado em Literatura – Especialização em Literatura Portuguesa pela Faculdade de Ciências Humanas e Sociais da Universidade do Algarve (2008), com a classificação final de Muito Bom, por unanimidade, pela dissertação «A Ideia da Morte nos Sonetos de Antero de Quental».

Licenciatura em Línguas e Literaturas Modernas – variante de Estudos Portugueses (Ramo Científico) pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1993), com a informação final de quinze valores, qualificação de Bom.

Professor de Português e de História e Geografia de Portugal no Ensino Básico e Secundário (desde 1995).

Estudos publicados em várias revistas literárias em Portugal e no Brasil.
