The Joris-Karl Huysmans' Croquis parisiens. Or literature becomes painting
Keywords:

Huysmans' Croquis parisiens, published in 1880, because of the dialogue between its poetical and pictorial dimensions, unable readers to both read and see scenes of daily life, populated with a diversity of types ─ with their specific obsessions ─ and of places ─ from the most common to the most bizarre. The aim of this paper is to disclose the poetical motus of Huysmans' text in its close relation to the pictorial dimension, to the point of being possible to speak of his writing as of an openly pictorial literature.Downloads
