“É PRECISO TER PEITO”: A PUBLICIDADE DO FEMININO ENTRE SUTIÃS E SILICONES

Based on a slogan from a 1987 advertisement on the moment when an adolescent girl becomes a woman ( “The first Valisère we never forget” (, this paper approaches the idealized production of the female body in a text which was made available through the mass media, which is entitled “Now, plastic surgery is a 15 years birthday gift”, on aesthetic surgery, especially mammaplasty. Mixing discourse genres such as news, report, and advertising, the text concerned will be approached having Bakhtin (1992) as a basis and to discuss the body in contemporary times we have Moulin (2008) as a basis.Downloads
