A LINGUAGEM VERBO-VISUAL NA CONSTITUIÇÃO DE SENTIDO EM CAPAS DA REVISTA VEJA

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the importance of verbovisual language of magazine covers, considered as concrete utterances under the perspective of the dialogic language analysis accorging to Bakhtin and his Circle. In order to accomplish this proposal, two covers of Veja magazine were selected, issued during the Brazilian presidential election period, on october and november, 2010. The aim was to carry out a contrastive reading between these covers, observing the relationships between the editorial team, the expected reader, and the socio-historic moment with regard to politics.
