NEEDS ANALYSIS: ENGLISH FOR TRIATHLON REFEREES - RIO 2016.

Abstract

This article aims at presenting the results of the needs analysis conducted in an international Triathlon competition in the city of Vila Velha / ES as the basis for an English course for specific purposes designed for Physical Education graduate students. It wasconducted a field study and as research method, directobservation (shadowing). Data collection instruments used: notes, video recording, photos, interviews with referees and documents. Finally, it will be described the results of the needs analysis for the development of a syllabus for the course module and the definition of the teaching approach to be used.
