Abstract

studies that approach voice quality may help us understand speech data in individuals with different conditions, including acromegaly. This disorder typically affects the vocal tract, particularly due to macroglossy and speech difficulties. The objective of this study was to investigate H1-H2 values and their correlation to data from a perceptive-auditory analysis of speakers with acromegaly and compare with data from a control groups. An integrated analysis of perceptual and acoustic data, based on the principles of clinical phonetics, enabled us to relate supralaryngeal, laryngeal, and voice quality adjustments in a group of speakers with acromegaly.
