O PAPEL DA MEMÓRIA DE TRABALHO E DA MODALIDADE DE INPUT NA COMPREENSÃO DE TEXTOS

This case study investigates the effects of working memory capacity and modality effects in a brain damaged subject performance in L1 and L2 discourse comprehension. Four span tests – two reading and two listening - and eight discourse comprehension tasks were performed by one adult with brain damage and one normal individual. The brain damaged subject’s performance demonstrates that there is not a clear relationship between the scores obtained in the span tasks and his performance on the comprehension tasks.Downloads
