CONTRIBUIÇÕES DOS ESTUDOS SOCIOFONÉTICOS PARA A IDENTIFICAÇÃO DE FALANTES

Abstract

The objective of this article is to present the relations between Socio-phonetics and the Speaker Recognition, demonstrating that the studies on Speaker Identification are part of the study area of Sociophonetics, since it involves the theoretical frameworks of Phonetics and Sociolinguistics . The concepts of these areas will be addressed, as well as their contributions to the Speaker Recognition. In addition, some research will be demonstrated from the point of view of Perceptual and Acoustic Phonetics.
