ANÁLISE COMPARATIVA ENTRE REPRESENTAÇÕES IDEACIONAIS NOS TÍTULOS DE PRESS RELEASES E DE NOTÍCIAS

Abstract

This paper analyses the differences between the titles of press releases issued by two Brazilian telecommunications companies and those of their corresponding news published by an online newspaper in a comparative analysis based on the ideational metafunction described by Systemic-Functional Linguistics. The comparative analysis of the titles has identified inclusions and exclusions of participants and differences in the transitivity functions assigned to the participants on titles. Interpreting these differences within the context has allowed to identify the different stances of the companies and the newspaper to the activities described in the texts.
