BETWEEN STROKES AND LETTERS: THE MULTIPLICITY OF MEANINGS PRODUCED BY VERBAL-VISUAL UTTERANCES

Abstract

This research intends to investigate how the political and social questions circulate and constitute themselves in social media. The corpus for qualitative analysis of the problem will consist of the Armandinho’s short stories (BECK, S/A) that circulate on the Internet, relating them to the reflection on the new textual ties -  with a focus on multimodality - proposed by Maingueneau (2015). For this purpose, the approach to semantic relations (SANTAELLA, 2012) will also be focused. These concepts are observable in texts that have a verbal portion and a visual portion in their entirety for the elaboration of meanings, thus enabling the production and reproduction of discourses.
