UM OLHAR DINÂMICO PARA QUESTÕES DE PRODUÇÃO DE FALA EM L2: ESTUDO PRELIMINAR SOBRE A DESSONORIZAÇÃO TERMINAL (DT)

Abstract

This work aims to analyze the production of English stop consonants which were produced by language learners from Paraná. Eckman (1987) described the phenomenon of terminal devoicing as the loss of a [sonorous] feature in some final positions. This phenomenon will be reviewed through another paradigm which leads to a dynamic perspective. Based on a preliminary study, it was observed the presence of a gradience in the DT. Therefore, this study focuses on the description of this other view towards DT and the teaching-learning process.
