Abstract

The central idea of this paper lies on the notion that the student teacher should dominate the basic issues related to the teaching-learning process in order to take over his/her position as a teacher who is conscious of his/her vital role in the classroom. The development of this conscience, therefore, substitutes the idea of “training” teachers to reproduce certain pre-established techniques for the notion that teachers must be educated to constantly question and think of his/her position as agent of all processes which take place in the classroom.
