Abstract

The present study aims to identify the determinants of male participation in the support group of the town of Flour, Alpestre municipality (RS), and meaning in their lives. This is a field research descriptive / exploratory study, conducted through interviews with 71 participants living group, 36 men and 35 women, aged 50 to 90 years. The results show positive changes promoted by programs of socio-recreational activities for the elderly.
