Aging and institutionalization: A bibliographic revision based in health promotion

Abstract

The purpose is reflecting about the institutionalization and its particularities in aging process. It was searched in scientific works, evidences related to health promotion contribution to improve the institutionalized  elderly aging, considering the approaches about the biopsychosocial aspects, health promotion and institutionalizing. The results shows the benefits of actions with this focus in the active elderly constitution.
