Therapeutic effects of an exercise program using a serious game developed for frail elderly rehabilitation

The aim of the study was to evaluate the therapeutic effects of an exercise program with a serious game (SG) developed to frail elderly rehabilitation. Fourteen patients with average age of 80,9 years (±5,6) completed the study, 8 in the experimental group (EG) and 6 in the control group (CG). The exercise program was conducted twice a week for three months (20 sessions). Only in EG was significant improvement in balance and functional mobility. The exercise program using the SG proved to be feasible and interesting to promote the recovery of frail elderly.
