The objective is to analyze the social representations about self-care in the life stages of the elderly caregiver. This is an exploratory and descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, with the Collective Memory and RRT as its theoretical-methodological support, with 35 caregivers of the elderly. The SR of the life stages, privilege the youth, anchored in the idea of absence of disease. Old age, on the other hand, has a positive RS, anchored in the ideas of greater free time and the enjoyment of retirement.
