The aim of this study is to present how a group of elderly people with various chronic diseases, linked to health insurance, manages their treatment and whether their participation in a specific chronic disease management program interferes (or not) in this self-management. It was noted that this group of people have their own behavior when dealing with their prescribed treatment, that give them control over their illnesses and their bodies, selecting information and reinterpreting their relationship with falling ill.
