Literatura e fenômeno religioso

Abstract

Nosso objetivo neste trabalho é estabelecer um vínculo entre literatura e fenômeno religioso tendo como base uma perspectiva teológica da cultura. O objetivo da arte, e em específico o papel da literatura, é oferecer ao homem uma dimensão que vai além do simples adaptar-se ao mundo. A literatura não é cópia do real, mas um amplificador da instância do ser-mais que nos possibilita enfrentar a ameaça do não ser. Neste sentido, em consonância com o pensamento de Paul Tillich, entendemos que a literatura é uma manifestação do caráter religioso da cultura humana. Abstract Our aim here is to establish a link between literature and religious phenomenon based on a theological perspective of culture. Art´s purpose, specifically the role of literature, is to offer man a dimension that goes beyond the mere adaptation to the world. The literature is not a copy of the real world, but an amplifier of our power of being that enable us to face the threat of non-being. Thus, in agreement to the Paul Tillich’s thought, we understand that literature is a manifestation of the religious character of human culture.
