Abstract

Focusing on the PT’s political resolutions in the 1990s, this article critiques the reorientation of the party’s political program. Until the mid-1980s the PT had a classist and socialist character, although the latter was very vaguely formulated. Over time, however, the PT increasingly became a social democratic party with a neo-national-developmentalist project for Brazil.
