Abstract

This article presents some aspects of the political trajectory and theoretical production ofthe intellectual Clóvis Moura in order to foment research on his bibliographic production. Thedeconstruction of the idea of “ racial democracy,” the use of African religion as a form of organizationand resistance of black Brazilians, and the criticism of the concepts of acculturationand culturalism are some aspects of the author’s work that are highlighted.
