BEFORE: Veronica Chahda, 30, from Sydney, said she had always wanted to change up her 'boring' old laundry, but assumed it would take her weeks and cost thousands of dollars

The mum (pictured with her kids) said she first of all researched exactly what she wanted to do by looking at other laundries online

First up, Veronica said she spent some time researching what she wanted.

'I took a look online and at other laundries, and drew up a budget,' she said.

The 30-year-old explained that while she would have liked to install new cabinetry and tapware, she knew it wasn't in her budget - and so she figured out a list of 'needs' as opposed to a list of 'wants'.

'There was one area where we were lucky insofar as I have a plumber friend who was able to do the plumbing work for us,' Veronica said.

'But besides this, we did the rest ourselves: the re-grouting of the floor, the tiling, painting and the making the shelves.

We enjoyed it.'
